Carp on the fly

Actually, I just wanted to test some new streamer and leader combinations for the upcoming predator season at the River Main, but it became a successful fishing day with great fish and my biggest carp on a fly rod. The carp took a nice orange wet fly, the pike and the roach nailed a small 4cm long Wooly Bugger.

Rainbow trout on the fly at the Main River

The Main River is full of surprises, and this 55cm rainbow trout I caught on a nymph at an estuary of a small creek is beside the golden ide my personal favorite.
